When Does Life Begin?
Medical scientists tell us that life begins the moment that you enter your mother's womb as a one-celled organism. At that time, you have everything you need to become a human being.
Think about it. On the day that you first started to grow, you had all of the chromosomes, all of the genes, all of the DNA that it will take to grow into an adult human being. In fact, just 3 weeks after your first day, probably before your mother even knew she was going to have a baby, your heart began to beat. By week 6, you had brain waves. By week 11, which is about two and a half months, you had eyelids, fingernails, toenails, and fingerprints. You also had perfectly formed hands and feet. Furthermore, most amazingly, all of your organ systems were fully functioning. In other words, everything that works inside of you today began to work after only 11 weeks in your mother's womb.
But, wait! It gets even more amazing. Do you know that God knew you even before you began to grow inside your mother? It's true, because God is the one who created you. He is the one who designed that one-celled organism and gave it everything that it needed to become YOU. God knew your soul before your soul had a body to live in.
